| Ri-Ri's Russian Roulette:A Rushing Disappointment |
|

Beside's the fact; that, I was twittling my thumbs while listening to Rihanna's new single "Russian Roulette" from her upcoming album, Rated R, it seems Ri-Ri will bear it all again. Instead of another fierce and "au naturel" spread in Vogue, I found myself, too no avail, trying to digest the purpose of her wearing nothing but barbed wire on her album cover. Meanwhile, well known singer/songwriter Ne-yo penned the single with lyrics just as emotionally devestating and powerful as the song's title. However, Rihanna's vocal performace fell behind, lacking the muscle and melodramatic influence that tracks "Unfaithful", "Hate That I Love You", "Take A Bow" and even "Disturbia" so profusely illustrate.

Despite the fact, that Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad" ego has been revered and idolized, I'm contemplating will we ever see something refreshing and new instead of what might foretell the same results as Common's "Universal Mind Control" but as a dark poppy revamp. Although, I am eager to see what kind of overwrought impact this album's release will have on mainstream media since her accusations against ex-beau Chris Brown, I also cannot help but wonder what the rest of her pictures will look like in her album insert. The Album is set to be released on November 23, 2009 and the single "Russian Roulette" can be heard now on youtube and at http://rihannanow.com
