I have been married 18 years to a man that totally gets me. He is the only person in the world that knows me inside and out. He is my lobster. After 18 years, he still gives me goosebumps and can always make me smile.
We have two amazing kids. Logan will be 17 in Sept. and Haley will be turning 11 in the same month. Logan is a self proclamied "mama's boy", and is turing into a well-rounded man. Haley is creative, funny and the happiest little girl you would ever want to meet. She has a friend that has said she is his "main laugher".
We are an Air Force family that has lived in Kansas, New Mexico, Germany and now Texas. In a few short weeks David will find out if he has made Lt. Col.
I stay busy volunteering at the kid's school. I have agreed to being PTO President for another year. It is alot of work, but I have a good volunteer base that I can count on when I need them. The school is located on base, so it's all military kids and families.
I have made some great friends here and we hang out together with our kids and sometimes without them. I started a Couple Bunco group that meets once a month. We have a blast! the men were hesistant at first, but now love it just as much as the women. It is rare to have this many couple friends and I feel blessed.
Summer is wonderful and I feel it's going by too fast. My two sisters are coming from KS to spend the weekend in July. I can't wait. We've never had this kind of "free time" with no husbands or kids around. My sister Tammy has never been on a plane before so it's pretty incredible that they are coming.
Right now I'm working on Weight Watchers and trying to work out 6 days a week. So far, I've lost 3 1/2 lbs! I should totally get a tattoo of a freakin turtle, cuz that is how I lose weight. Slow.
Meeting the gang for Bowling this afternoon and that is bout it for today.
Oh, I did mention the dog. We got a puppy in March after our golden retriever Scully passed away a year ago. She was the best dog...my husband reminds me that I wanted to get rid of her everyday when we first got her, so I need to be patient with Neeko. He is half poodle, half shitzu. He is adorable, but refuses to poop outside! the kids love him and so does David. I guess I probably will someday.
