Hello all...
Well I am 40 !!!! and 3 days to be precise!!
I had a lovely week, friends couldn't all do the thursday so celebrations happened on several days, the last being last night.. so tired now lol, must be my age ?
Last Sunday was mothers day here in the UK, and my 3 daughters and hubby made it so special.  On the Weds the elderly chap we look after took me to a local garden center to get some plants and have a cup of tea, bless him he's 84 years young ! Then Thursday (my birthday) hubby took the day off and we went out for a drive, and bought more plants (I love shopping for plants if you haven't realized by now) and we spent the day together just hugging and enjoying the peace, it was lovely.  Friday we were going to go out for a meal with the kids but hubby had the dentist and had to have his gums cut open to remove and old root.. ouch!! he wasn't very well at all, so I just went into town with my eldest daughter and she bought me a patio heater so as to keep my garden warm on chilly nights with friends.  Saturday I spent the day pottering around in the garden and then last night we went for the chinese meal and bowling with close friends.. it was soooo cool, I lost as usual but I didn't have the bars raised either side of the lane, so I was pleased to lose with  a healthy score !! Then we went back to theirs for more drinks and we crawled in at nearly 2 this morning!  All in all it's been a fab week, all my friends know about my past and they all contributed to keeping me busy and to feel loved, it really was a special time.  I had a few e-cards online too, which cheered me up no end when I turned the computer on.  My eldest daughter phoned me first thing on my birthday to wish me a happy one.. then she said "you're double my age now Mum" boy that one cheered me up no end lol ! 
So thats my birthday, it may sound totally boring to some, no loud music, no wild party's, no getting drunk.. but plenty of fresh air, hugs and close friends.. pure bliss to me.  And not one thought of my parents.. COOL!!
Hey I just read about the severe weather warnings coming here to the UK.. who decided to send them our way? I am sorting out the garden and now it's gonna have to fight for survival!! Though you wouldn't think so.. the sun is shining and the birds are singing, sure we have had the odd shower but it's over by the time you get inside?? 80 mile hour gales, hail storms, flooding.. grief, it is all supposed to kick off tonight.. we shall see.
Anyway.. I will catch up with you all soon, with more enthrawling tales of my days.. 40 isn't so bad after all.. see ya x
