Wow who loves frogs? I do, I have a pond in my garden and there are loads of them living there. I had to empty the pond at the weekend as all the leaves from the trees had fallen in there and it was total yuk!! Luckily there are no fish in there as they would have struggled to survive.. Yet my frogs have survived all odds that the winter threw at them, and the yuk of the water that surrounded them, they live peacefully, do no harm to their surroundings yet help quietly in their own way to keep the garden free of pests that danger the look of beautiful wild flowers. They put up with lawn mowers, dogs, kids kicking balls around.. and do they complain? Do they leave? No, they stay put and weather the storm. Then I go out to my small garden and listen to the frog chorus as they find partners.. it's a beautiful sound, it's normally quite loud to, but peaceful all at the same time. When my middle daughter was small she used to sit so still by the waterfall and imitate the noise, they used to get up out of the water and sit on her !! I wasn't too sure about the hygenic side of it but it was so special to watch as nature and human joined in peace. I seem to have more frogs than ever now, I gave up my lawn and use bark chippings instead now so it is safer for them and easier for me too. I hope you have a space for frogs in your garden, I wish the world could learn from them and live peacefully together and never fuss about diversities that happen around us, it is a shame that there is so much hate in the world, so much anger and rage that brings nations to a halt instead of looking at the simple things in life that God gave us.. like frogs x
