An entry from Webb!!

I convinced Webb to write a few things a couple times a week so that I can share them with you.
He wrote this for me to post today:

Finally after about six weeks here in Iraq we’re getting settled into our temporary homes. For me not much has changed as far as my job goes, just the same old thing in a different location. Like Lori has said previously, although I am an infantryman and it’s my primary job to get out and run missions, this time around I am working in the HQ section just doing a lot of routine paperwork for the unit.  I hope to eventually get things caught up on my end and get out with my close friends and family who I previously deployed to Afghanistan with. It would be great to feel like part of the team again. All the Soldiers in the unit are doing fine and as far as I can tell, they are just anxious to complete our mission here and get home to their families and the ones they love. Other than being away from home, life here isn’t too awful bad, trying to combat the boredom and not sit around and think of home so much. For myself this has been a hard task but I am managing and try to keep my mind entertained, when I’m not working, with other things such as reading, watching movies, playing Playstation and hanging out with the guys. The best thing that keeps me going is music; it’s definitely a motivation for me. How ironic that something I like so much is the profession of my girlfriend. There is one thing you don’t have to worry about where I am and that is going hungry; others may have a different opinion but from prior experience portions are plentiful and there is always a good variety. Being able to access the internet from my room and talk on the phone has definitely been another saving grace for me. Communication back home is sometimes tricky due to the time difference and being on different schedules but being able to get on the phone and just talk for a few minutes goes a long way. Every now and then I am able to actually get a good enough feed to listen to 98.3 Live. When I do it’s nice because I get to hear Lori doing what makes her happy, and that’s entertaining all of you with great music. Well that’s about all I can give you right now but I will continue to add to this blog and if you have any questions I will give you the best answer I can. Hopefully in future remarks I will have a good story or something to tell you but currently things aren’t that exciting. I would like to thank all you for your prayers and support of all our troops deployed overseas. A Soldier is only as good as the people who back him/her and would like to say that I have a great support group back home who I thank all the time for it.

Aww.. Lori you must be so proud! So am I! Thank you and your man for your sacrifices. If it's true about a soldier only being as strong as the people behind them.. they must be kickin' ass over there!!
