i just bought a $150 swimsuit from everything but water and the people there were rude. i was standing in line at one cashier and the lady at the other cashier was all done. i expected her to say "oh, come on over here" but instead she did nothing and just folded up clothes and shit just messing around. then, a lady walks up behind me, holding two swimsuits. the lady who is just messing around quickly says "oh i can get you over here ma'am," referring to the lady BEHIND ME. um, that's crap. the lady behind me says nicely, "oh no that's okay she was here before me." the two ladies working behind the cashiers looked at each other as if fighting over the lady behind me. the one who ended up with me proceded through my check out with the ugliest face and rudest attitude.
okay. so i understand that working on commission sucks, and you need every extra sale. i get that. but please, don't be rude. it's just not necessary. it's not my fault. needless to say, i was so embarrassed and the whole time i felt like both cashiers were looking at me as if i wasn't worthy of their store. wtf is that? i'm buying something, aren't i? geez. that's just ridiculous.
anyways, if you work in retail, please be just as nice to the customer buying a little pair of socks as you are to the customer who's buying a wedding dress. it's common courtesy.
