Understanding.

Sometimes I think people are to stuck in what they know, to truely change their minds. You can introduce something completely unique to a person who has a good idea of the physical world...but when you say something that is otherwordly you get a stall in the machine that is the brain. Instead of considering the possiblity, people shunt out and default to their old process letting the brain function in the comforting zone of the repetative physical. Why is this? Is a new idea so outrageous that you can't even consider the possibility of what if? You may think the new idea and the person delivering it is crazy, and you may think you understand everything that is being implied, but again you never really give it a chance to bloom into a full idea. Perhaps it is simply based on experiences, some people have seen the proof - while others are still waiting unconciously for the wake up call. It's simply weird to me... and difficult to explain to someone who has never though of the notion. I think this requires some more exploration... I'm still just trying to find the reasoning behind the action, behind the protective barrier that is the comfort zone of half truths and ideas.
