New Tech News 2

Iphone fans across the states are only having one trouble after another. Not only did they have to prematurely cancel their previous service with an early termination fee, sign a new 2 year contract with a ridiculous cost, spend the extra money on the new phone that doesn’t even allow you to run third party apps, the huge security breach in the Iphone was to be released by black-hat hackers, but now they are complaining about a phone bill that could rival the yellow pages. A 300 page bill is what they received in the mail! This bill details everything from every phone call made, to every text message, to every webpage you have ever visited. Not only is this a waste of resources, but what if some clever thief were to ever get their hands on it?

Think G-mail is safe? While I prefer g-mail to every other email program it was revealed at the Defcon Convention this year (A convention for hackers) That if you are accessing your G-mail account through wifi, it’s possible someone is intercepting everything you do unencrypted comprimising your account! This is unlikely to happen to you for the most part but there are some sneaky bastards out there who could do a lot with this type of information. This security risk also works for MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo, and hotmail.

The Wii has been rather hard to come by because of the popularity in the radical (but not so new) NumChuck controller. Watching their success Logitech has come up with their own version for the PC called the Mx Air Mouse.

Yikes. It is creepy to think hackers could really tap into all of my personal information. Then the hacking jerks have a convention? That is a scary thought.

Wouldn't the conventions just teach others to be hackers? That is just wrong.

well, the convention also has people from the software and manufactere companies who use this information to better secure their products...also hackers are hired to test software alot of the time, or to make the software in the first place. not all hackers are bad :). Plus it's those same hackers that make us able to back up our legitamatly bought products instead of buying them 4-5 times.
