| help I think I am going to scream

 I work in a medium sized office, in my area. We are a satallite of a much larger corporation. We basically act as purchasing agents for other companys. My problem is one of my cube mates. I share a cube with four other people. I get along fine with everyone, and keep a low profile overall. I carry a fairly large client load, with some pretty difficult clients. The one cube mate I will call her Cloe, has a smaller client load, and thus a smaller work load. She is a very nice person, but she spends the majority of the day telling everyone who will listen that our vendors are idiots, the customers are idiots, our managment are idiots, and our home office is idiots. Cloe, does the most unprofessional things, such as putting the client on hold, and calling the vendor. Then bouncing between two lines keep both partys tied up for really unacceptable amounts of time. Or better yet, she get way to chummy with her clients telling them things that they should not really know, or critisims about vendors, or our company. Cloe, also says very in appropiate things about our co workers, especially the ones she does not like. Cloe, drove one poor woman (who used to be the assistant of our other cube mate) to take a early leave for maternity. As Cloe said and did things to make her feel really terrible. That poor woman was really under a lot of stress, and she was having a very complicated pregnacy. Lately, she has been complaining about her work load, she bragged about how many orders she processed for her clients this past order season. Well, I process more orders than her with fewer mistakes. In fact last year she fell behind with the same work load, so I picked up the slack with one of her orders. I made a mistake, and keyed the wrong item. I managed to remedy the problem and get the funds in question back. But, she was later heard talking garbage about my work performance. In fact she recently brought it up in conversation when I was around. I recently took a vacation, and she helped the girl that filled in for me. Messing up one of my orders, basically she did not read the notations that I had in place for the customer. A large of money was charged in error for the customer. Cloe, even after our supervisor spoke to her did not make any effort to fix the problem. In fact she refused to admit she made a mistake. I ended up calling in some favors from this vendor, and correcting the billing. Cloe, has no regard for other people in her area. Here other cube mates (myself included) celebrate when she does not come into work. We are all frustrated with Cloe, as she has no clue that the reason that Management is on her back is that she screws things up. It has gotten so bad certain vendors will not deal with her directly. But, she remains. Well this is Heddy, screaming for the day.... |
