Question of the Day (July 25, 2008)

You must attend to the commencement of this story, for when we get to the end we shall know more than we do now about all of those throughout the Land of Thoughts.

Once upon a time there was a fairy named AnotherDaze and she set forth to obtain as much information as she could about the diverse set of people here in the Land of Thoughts. While the trumpeters sounded around her, she stood on the steps of the castle holding a baton in her hands. The baton, covered in brightly colored ribbons of silk and satin glimmered as the wind softly blew. She held up the baton and declared that daily; a different member of the Land of Thoughts shall heed the call and declare a “Question of the Day” through out the land.

Day by day the call was answered and the “Question of the Day” resounded throughout the land. The baton changed colors as each new person took their turn. Some days the baton took on shades of sorrow as emotional thought provoking questions were asked, other days it wore lively colors to match the zany questions proposed.

As the baton has been passed from Brainstormer to me, the shades of brown and greens open to pinks and purples as I offer today’s “Question of the Day”.

If there were to be a Fairy Tale written about you, how would it go?

Would you get your Prince or Princess? Fight off the evil dragons in the world? Free all of the little workers and celebrate with Carmel apples?

Until otherwise declared, I serenely pass the colorful baton to:

A FAIRY TALE ABOUT ME
Long long ago, in a land far, far away, lived a nice girl. She was born to a handsome soldier, a heroic man. And to a lady, of high standing.
She played in her garden by the sea, enjoying the beautiful things of life. There were other children to play with, and lovely places to go.
Summer sundays at the beach, parties with music, and laughter, and relatives pinching her pink cheeks.
She was sent to the best of schools, and she did well, her parents proudly showed off her report cards. All was good. Then one day, sadness, There had been a transfer, and the family was to move. She was sad to leave her garden by the sea, sad to wave good bye to the people she loved.
The days were empty, all were lonely. There was a long time of worry, too, because a child in the household became very ill. The Handome man and his Lady, despaired, and all became sorrow, when the sweet child lost her battle to live.
Sadness permeated the houshold. For a time, the doors were closed.
There were no parties, and there was no laughter. Slowly, because there were children in the home, life began again, but never as before. The small lost one was never forgotten, her name was Gloria, she died at age four, she was an angel.
The girl, who bacame a young woman met a handome young man. He wanted to make her smile. He showed her a beautiful world, waiting to be explored. She let him take her hand, and they bid the family goodbye.
All of the forests, and the mountains, and the seashores were thiers. They found joy in thier journeys, And in time, made a home for themselves.
They filled it with laughter and music, friends, and children. The girl. A woman now, with her husband,
still enjoys thier lovely gardens, by the sea.

Three acquaintances stroll merrily along an old English road paved so long ago. Swapping with each other old tales never told. Enjoying one another’s company and stories they sold. The jester, wizard, and the musician, all three hearts were made of gold.

The jester, carried a smile upon his face. He danced around swiftly, all the while keeping up pace. He joked and poked fun down that old English street. Then he told of a dancer with two left feet. They laughed and they cheered at the jester’s cheesy tale. As the dancer tripped the jester's colorful cloak and then his pointy shoes were pointed out too. “Dear lord old chap, that dancer’s you.” Laughing so hard they were almost out of breath. A friendship was growing within their soul’s depth.

The wizard, carried on about a man so smart. Who had an attitude that was so lively and tart. On and on the wizard went. He spoke of this man who was so intelligent and would never vent. They strode along the gravel having a laughter fit. The jester and musician knew where this was going but pretended their light bulb had not yet lit. Finally the wizard cried out, “Can’t you see? This amazing man is supposed to be me!” A roaring cackle fled from the other two’s mouth. All three were still heading down the road while walking south.

Finally the musician, began with his tale. It was about a young entertainer who wished on a star that fell. He didn’t wish for money or a house built for two. But he hoped for an entire town’s dream to come true. The young man’s life was playing his banjo in the middle of the street. He’d dance and sing never feeling defeat. They all knew where this story would go. So I’ll take you a few miles down the road or so.

They came upon their destinations to part. Each of them kept one another’s story in there heart. Their goodbye was a hardy handshake and a pat on the back. All three acquaintances had gained what they lacked. What they had found in each other was a special friend. Now I regret to inform you, my story has come to an end.

Seems you've started to write mine for me. It's very good. I appreciate all the nice things you've said.

I'm not so good at writing stories so I'll just say I already got my prince and as soon as I find a way to help these young ones past needing adult supervision my life should be a fairy tale. Sorry I can't play along with your wonderful story. Just wanted to let you know I was here.

Once upon a time, far away, by a beautiful meadow, lived a very pretty girl. She was in her early 20's, and loved to go for long walks in the meadow. One day she came across a young man, he was walking infront of his horse. As he stops to say Hi to her, she couldn't help notice, his beautiful blue eyes, and his big wide smile. As their eye met, she could feel the heat in her cheeks. He was taken by her shyness, and her beauty. They sat and visited for a while, and then he asked her if she wanted to go for a ride on his horse. Although a little hesitant, she agreed.
He helped her on his horse, and then he hopped on and off they rode...
They rode so fast that they were flying through air. The faster they roade, the higher they'd fly. Soon they were flying through the clouds... They were flying past the rainbows... She could feel the misty water droplets kiss her cheeks as they flew through the rainbow. The clouds were just billowing passed her ears, and all she could do was take deep exhilarating breaths. She could feel paradise all around her. As this gorgeous man and this horse kept flying faster in the sky, she suddenly felt at peace with universe. Her, the man, the horse, and the universe, were all moving at the same rate, and there was silence, and beauty in it all. Beauty in her, in him, in the horse, and all around her. It was peace and Beauty and Happily Ever After!

Well,I would like my fairytale to be realistic!(contradictory?umm.........)
It would be a simple tale where I strive to achieve my dreams like anyone else and start out as a complete pessimist and discover along the way that life is beautiful!
The ending would be HAPPY(as always! :) ) with me dying in the arms of one true love at a ripe old age!

Hey, that's a good one:) I wish I would have thought of it myself...:D

Hickory, dickory dock.
Brainstormer thinks 'round the clock.
He strives all day and night
To always get things right
Til he suffers from mental block.

There once was a blogger named brainstormer.
He was quite the artist and performer.
His life was not complete
Til he swept someone off their feet.
Leaving him feeling quite happy and warmer.

I'm not sure how my fairy tale would go at the moment. But, here are a few altered titles I will throw out:P

Brainstormer and the Really Tall Woman.

Brainstormer Riding Hood of Sherwood Forest.

Sir Brainstormer and the Knights of the Round Table.

The Brainstormer Who Craved Pizza.

Brainstormer and Greta.[Or Brainstormer and Heidi(Klum:P).]

The Little Brainstormer.

Beauty and the Brainstormer.

The Adventures of Brainstormer Holmes and His Assistant Miss Watson.
