So I have decided to move. Mind you, I won’t be moving until next March but I have begun my search for a new apartment. Keep in mind that I have a tad bit of OCD in me.
I have decided to move from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment. Some of the apartments I have found have wide open spaces and some have more walls to hang photos.
I have seen four complexes so far, one of them I won’t talk about because I didn’t really like it. Two major things that I look for are storage space and kitchen layout.
Here are the three that I will speak of right now.
WESTCHASE:
At 1,076sq feet it’s a very beautiful two bedroom with rooms and bathrooms on opposite sides of the living room. It has two huge walk in closets. It is spacious with a very open living/dining room and has a large amount of kitchen cabinetry which I love because I love to cook and bake and have so many pots and pans. It has a large space for a washer and dryer and the area is tall so that you can place a few shelves and hanging rods. The only two downsides to this apartment are that the master bedroom is a little smaller than the second bedroom. It’s only called the master bedroom because the bathroom is attached. The second downside is the cost. It’s more than I would feel 100% comfortable paying.
THE LANDING:
This one has two that I like.
At 800 sq feet it is a small two bedroom that is in the “roommates” floor plan, where it is identical on each side of the living room. With two matching closets, bathrooms, and bedrooms in equal sizes. The main reason I like it is because it has huge closets. I can modify the second bedroom and closet to match what I need in a spare room/office and still have lots of room. I like having two bathrooms especially when I have company. Great price for this one with it being less than what I am paying for the one bedroom I am paying for now.
The second is a larger two bedroom (1043 sq feet) with the master having a larger closet and there is a fireplace. There is nothing really that sets this apartment aside from what I have already seen but the price is good.
BELMONT PLACE/LA FONTAINE
Absolutely beautiful apartments. I saw four different floor models at this location. One is a large one bedroom (870 sq feet) and has THREE huge closets. I love closets!!!
Since I really want a two bedroom, I will favor them with more detail.
B1 – 1052 sq feet, the master bedroom has a very large walk in closet and a nice size kitchen. It has a washer and dryer but they are each on opposite sides of each other in the kitchen, so I don’t know how that will work.
B2 – 1138 sq feet, the closet in the master bedroom is the exact same size as the large master bedroom bathroom! The kitchen is square and spacious. Downside is that this floor plan does not allow for a washer and dryer and since I have been 3 years without one, I WANT ONE! Lol
B3 – 1356 sq feet, more of a room mate floor plan but one of the rooms has a larger closet due to the fact that the kitchen takes up a bit of the other side. The kitchen has a large pantry where the washer and dryer are located.
I think from this complex, I will only concentrate on B1. I like the layout and the price is very good.
Ah well, the search continues. I still have about a year to decide, but I like to plan early.
