So, everybody! Sorry for the lateness of this post, I've been unable post anything as my internet has been malfunctioning.
That's right, it's cut-off day! No further interest can be expressed - sorry!
This might be a bit long (well, it is a bit long.) but there's lots to say, and it all has to be said.
I must stress on you that if you're doing the tangible gift sending, you must fill out the survey which will be posted soon (keep an eye out for another blog with links).
This just helps the person that got you decide what they can/should choose to send you. Keep in mind that postage can be quite expensive, so nothing too bulky or heavy.
Also, you can choose how you wish to submit your address.
Let me know by email or private message, or in a comment below, how you wish to submit your address.
For the virtual gift senders, I'll send you who you must virtually send a gift to soon also. Again, it would be a good idea if you were to fill out a survey on what you're interested in and what kind of gift you'd like to receive, although this is not vital. Doing so would help both you and the person who got you. (link will be posted soon).
Deadlines!
Virtual Gifts:
Please send your organised/created gift to your Kris Kringle by 10th December. Let me know if your gift requires special circumstances eg. an actual email address because of attachments.
Tangible Gifts:
Allowing for postage of 5-12 working days, please send your gift by December 1st.
This allows plenty of time for people to receive it and not be too busy to view it before Christmas.
Now, it probably isn't necessary but I feel it's an obligation to say: All addresses and/or email addresses that are shared between members are done so voluntarily and at the addressee's own risk.
If you choose to give it to me, know that I will only share it with one other person, that being the person who is assigned to send you a gift (whether tangible or virtual).
I care too much about this whole thing to mess it up, I've put hours of planning and many blogs into (hopefully) assuring it carries out according to expectations.
Money Limit
I'm not going to impose a limit on the amount of money you must/can't spend. We're not 10 years old doing Kris Kringle in year 5 anymore - use your own judgement.
Again, if you wish to back out, it's okay; just please let me know.
I will make one final statement before I finish.
It is your decision to be involved in this idea. Understand that once you've agreed after this point to continue, all costs and fees incurred (meaning the item and the cost of postage) are your responsibility and not the fault of anyone. Before you buy the gift intending to be sent, research the approximate amount it will cost to send, or allocate enough to cover the approximated cost.
