I loved my first one, L reg, so 1991 I think? Vauxhall Corsa called Ethel. She was turquoise blue with pink go faster stripes, brilliant little car. Damn I miss driving now.....

Yes, I do - it was a blue Morris Minor - you wouldn't even know what that was but it meant everything to me and I have never forgotten it. I even wrote some stories about it for my children when they were small. Your first car is often the best, so be careful, listen to your Stepdad and make sure it is safe. Good luck!

My first car was a 1983 Ford Fairmont painted baby blue. It was a gift from my grandparents. I loved that car and missed it when I lost it due to a car accident.

Amy, just a word of advice, stay away from the Daewoo Celio gl. I had one in the past and it was the worst car I ever brought. It was always breaking down, and parts for it are expensive in the end the dealership would no longer accept the warranty because I had taken it back so many times. I have heard this from other people as well. When I brought mine it was brand new from a dealership.

My fist car was a 2 door Toyota Corolla Coupe. I had it for a very long time. It was old when I got it and by the time I got rid of it, it was ancient....LOL. My second car was the daewoo (yuck shudder at the thought), and my car now is a 2002 Ford Falcon and I love it. I hardly ever have a problem with it and it runs really well. I often forget to get its regular service done because of how well it runs.

Hey KP - turns out iwt was sold as we called to confirm the address to come see it - blessing in disguise maybe?
So the car hunt is suspended at the moment - I'll get some more money and then maybe have another crack at what i can find.
My parents have a Ford Flalcon... 2005, performance vehicle, GT V8 etc etc blah blah.

Do I? I towed it into the back yard- my dad said "you're not buying that!" I said "I already have!" we fought for a week- but i kept it- a "50 ford- and rebuilt the engine myself. eventually i got it to near the hottest car in the area- I painted it Midnight blue and then put candy apple red over it so it was super deep purple- almost black- and painted flames on the nose- it looked great! wish i still had it..
