 Self Diagnosis
There is something about writing late at night that is soothing and is often the time when I write these blogs.  In my Bioethics class self diagnosis was brought up very briefly.  Assessing oneself can be very beneficial.  You should understand that nobody knows your body better than you.  A physician knows a lot about the human body and how it works but you can often be a much more effective doctor when you know what to look for.  Every pain, ache, pimple, headache is your body's way of telling you something is wrong.  This could be anything from lying in bed the wrong way or something you ate a day ago.  The point I'm trying to make is that it makes no sense to take pain relief because all your simply doing is ignoring the problem.  If I were to notice a smelly gaseous substance coming from my car, I wouldn't ignore it by plugging by nose!  This is exactly what were doing and this does lead to bigger problems.  Listen to your body when its trying to tell you something.  Know when to diagnose yourself and learn to identify the cause of your symptoms.  But also know when to see your physician for potentially serious problems.
