This snowy winter
This year I have been fortunate to have two demanding task's ,/The hardwood operation ill not  speak of now./The salvage  into beams of  the blown down pine and hemlock  is uppermost on my mind  The weather [snow] has made things very hard in the woods covering the trees  forceing me to snowshoe in to the worksite and then work in waist deep snow chainsaw milling beams from 10 two 30feet long from the large blowdowns  My delemmer is, this is a hopeless task   and im the only one  who  realizes  that what the foresters did has doomed nearly all  of  this forest on top of this granite eska to be blown down .MY point  is dont just take the word of a forester when ,or if your going to serverly cut a piece of forest land , This lot would never have been cut so hard inless it was clearcut  if a geologist had tested first . /Ken
