Release the darkness within,
The bitterness and the jealousy,

How can you drive away
That which has always been there,
Your constant companion,
Since the days of you childhood;
The darkness has always been there,
It has always embraced you,
When none other would,
Shadows have hidden you,
From the world's uncaring eyes;
If you take the risk,
Purge the bile within,
Will you find something to replace it,
Or simply be empty,
