| When your packages being hi-jack... |
Things are not what it seems when it comes to safe passages of items you order online. Of course, when it goes international there are some questions you will have to ask yourself about it:-
1). Will it arrive safely and not being hold by the customs?
2). Will it be stolen by someone?
3). Will it be lost?
4). Will it be damage?
5). Will I open the package and found out it's not the item I ordered?
and of course, so on & on.
Well, recently my company's shipment of goods was suppose to arrive today. I received a phone call from a courier company and I was inform that their delivery truck was... HIJACKED! I was speechless to hear that! I know that in Malaysia it happens quite often but to have that happen and hearing the bad news through the phone was just shocking! How and why would thieves want to hi-jack a delivery van? Is there something valuable inside? I mean, what is there to hi-jack that makes it so often in Malaysia? I sort of wonder myself but to know that today my company is not going to receive the goods today means more hassle to contact the shipper, to contact the courier service to inform them for claims and then to contact the customer about their goods being hi-jack. And more days to wait for the replacements to arrived.
Imagine the hassle that everyone has to go through and we all have work hard, earn hard money for it and been taken away just like that by thieves who can just GET REAL JOBS for it! Sigh...
