| Now I can say I am old - a small kid calls me "unc |
While having breakfast at Dim Sum Kitchen, a kid of no more than 7 years old was looking at me while I was eating Fried Loh Pak Koh. The parents were amused by this kid but I just eat away as my thoughts were on the writing assignment that I need to finish today. As they leave, the kid came up from the back of me and said "bye bye uncle". She was cute and so I reply back to her a good bye note and then I sigh...
I am now consider "old"... no more "goodbye kor kor" (translated as brother) but "uncle" now...
Do I look that old? Am I really that old? I don't know... but lately kids do call me "uncle" these days... the word sort of ring true since I do look that old a bit.
I think I have to get used to the word too... sigh...
