 Enchanted (Movie Review)

Disney has been thoroughly in need of a new scope in films, besides Pixar Studios... and Disney finally has one that somehow save them... well, at the least it can do. Enchanted is rather, something unique and fun to watch not just for family and kids but to all audiences alike. It starts off with a rather fun, patterned Disney animated film that later becomes a reality. Of course, the transition from animated world to reality has been done before (Cool World was one of them but the theme was rather targetting to adults). When a Step-mother queen to her prince wants to marry a beautiful peasant girl, Queen Narissa banished the poor girl to a modern day New York City without animation. Of course, Giselle (Amy Adams) didn't know where she was but learns that true love isn't met in a single day. When Prince Edward enters the real world to find his true love, there's bound to be a lot of singing, dancing and funny moments through out the movie. And yes, it is entertaining to some extend.

Amy Adams did very well together with James Marsden, a role both which I didn't expect they can make it so animated in real life. Of course, the real star grabber would be a CG Squirel named Pip that make most of the acting. In some ways, reality still make you believe the real world people thinks a girl who sings might be crazy, but a scene in Central Park New York can be so unbelievable logic (even for a fantasy film in logic sense) that I feel that scene where Patrick Dempsey was rowing a boat isn't necessary.

Good music, funny moments that is also fun to watch, value entertainment and a good watch make this movie finally something the holiday season to look forward to. Don't expect guns blazing... this is, after all, appeal to all audiences alike. Disney have a hit in their hands even though not exactly a huge hit but a passable one.
