I can't wait for my youngest son to graduate high school. I know that sounds terrible, wishing away his youth, but I am being a bit selfish here. I have decided that once he graduates, I am packing up my favorite things, selling the rest, taking the dog and hitting the road. I haven't a clue where I am going but I have two years to figure it out. I am tired of this place, these people and this life I am NOT leading. The only way I am ever going to be truly happy is to be truly on my own. I am certain I will miss my folks and my children but they can visit or I will come home from time to time. My life is a big giant joke and I'm just tired of it. So over the next two years I must:
Finish school so I will be more marketable when I leave it all.
Start banking some cash, create a stash.
Lose all this weight (down 8 lbs for the year...only 52 more to go ...says me, I could probably stop at 20 more)
Maybe when I find my next job, I will look at companies that have locations all over so I can transfer around. Who knows? Well, C needs the computer so I must run. thanks for listening. mh

A lot of people decide when their youngest child leaves home to pick up a part of their lives that was changed due to parenthood. Nothing wrong with it. Do something exciting, explore. I wish you luck on your goals. Try to break it down a bit like maybe 3 months at a time, it helps the process.Good luck.

Funny you should bring this up as my husband and I are moving from Washington to Florida! We are not taking our adult children, they're both in the early 20's....I'm leaving my kids behind. It's the last thing I ever thought I'd do. I never ever dreamed of actually moving from my small town on my small Island...but here we go. We are packing the U-haul today and taking off tomorrow. Good luck to you! And wish us luck....we're on our way!
