Former bartender weighing in here: I don't think the guy should have kicked you out. That was inappropriate. However, servers/bartenders only make about $3.00 per hour. They survive on tips. If the service wasn't bad, the beer was cold, the drinks were good...there is no excuse for your friend...

Call your employer again and remind them that the law states that they have to send those out by Jan. 31st and ask if you need to contact the IRS. That will generally get the ball rolling. When you DO get it, check the postmark.

How lucky you are to be able to get away. I vowed to myself yesterday to do just that. When my youngest graduates, I am going to pack up my favorite things, sell the rest and hit the road with my dog and find a new place to settle. I am tired of the same old same old and want/need some new...
