 Behind the IP Address
I know her only through words.  Words she strings in sentences that fatten into paragraphs hinting at the woman behind the IP address.  She writes about her life, her heartache, her hopes.

I can feel her tears, hear her sighs, see her frowns;  none of these have I experienced except through the telepathy of what her words evoke in me, no reality available to affirm this woman, who nevertheless, materializes inside my head.  In her phrases, a humility rises,   a  woman of character, of loyalty, of intelligence.  These attributes develop like vapor from words typed on her page.  Somehow, I also know if she reads this she will not apply herself to the heroine in this blog.

Going through a challenge of magnitude, betrayed, disillusioned, her youthful dreams slipping  through her fingers, she elegantly faces it with a patience which is the definition of adult.  The betrayal has brought her to her knees.  A sadness weeps alone under the clouds of quiet anger with which she protects her heart.  A heart that lies in fragments carelessly tossed aside by an ignorant and selfish husband.  A man child who has no clue to the loveliness he has discarded for the sake of his ego.

Her priority, her children conjure a  ferocity as she protects them from the imbecility their father casually causes.  Watching her through her typed words as she pours her fears into cyber for all of us to see, I see her solitude.  I see her loneliness.  I see her fear.  I see her anger.

I am writing this hoping she will see it.  I am hoping she will see herself in it without the benefit of being told it is about her.  I am sure she would be embarrassed if I were to confirm it.  I wanted to show her what I see in her words.  I wanted to show her that someone can clearly see her and just because the love she thought was hers has transformed into a lie, does not mean she is not magnificent.

Through the miles of cyber that this woman and I are separated by,  this is the only way I can be a friend.

It is a probably-not that she will pass by, and I am hesitant to alert her. When I read others' suffering my heart just wants to take it away. Thank you Frenchie for giving me your time and leaving me such beautiful words.

I can hear your voice when I read your stuff but ..........

I am now wondering at what the but means... mmm ... Yes it's cool how that works, hearing each other's voice through words. I hear your voice, energy, speed, impatience, humor, darting in and out...now you see him, now you don't.

You are a true talent. The way you convey your thoughts with the written word is flux. Whoever this is for should be able to see it a mile away.

I am not sure who else you read but I can feel who you write about here...so many similiarities to my story. I feel this pain. I sat crying thinking how honoured someone would be to have such lovely things written about them. You have a gift with the words you write. I am speechless. You, Greunie are a constant friend to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This blog has touched me deeply.

When I read the above words, right away I felt it was for a friend as I know what she has been going thro, and all the words do fit into her situation so tightly,
and she has already made a comment here, just up above mine.

God loves you

Sometimes we can be better friends to the people we don't actually know than the ones we see on a daily basis or know in person. There's a sense of purity that you can give to each and every online individual, and also that overwhelming heir of trust. People's true feelings are allowed to come to the forefront easier when you don't really have to worry about any repercussions. That aside, I can tell these are your true feelings and whoever this is about should feel honored to have a friend like you, just as I do.

Emotive eloquence, sincerity and a true heart oozes from your words and wraps the reader in a sense of tranquil warmth. A talented writer, and a good soul...a fine example of caring for your fellow man (or in this case, woman)regardless of whether they are an influence on your real life sphere or not. Beautiful soul. :)

The key to liberation lies at the core of our suffering, as our pain is the reminder that we are off-track, that we are seeking our treasure where it does not lie. I am grateful that nobody but myself has the ability to take away my suffering, for without it I would have no chance to evolve. Of course I am touched deeply by your empathy and desire to rid others of their pain, however necessary and vital it may be to them.
You rock, greunie!

Grans how wonderful to see you strolling Thoughts halls. Yes very difficult for me to see others in pain, very difficult for me to remember that suffering is growth. I am learning though that although I can't take the pain away, at least I can mirror how very beautiful and strong they are and sit awhile with them...

Posted by  greunie  on 2009-06-30 16:23:03

Let me first clarify my use of the word 'suffering'. The drama that we add, through our conceptual mind, to the actual life-situations of pain and loss that are inherent in this physical life, those thoughts that perpetuate the original pain; that experience is what I mean by suffering. I wasn't saying that suffering, in itself, is growth. Just pointing out that the noticing, within oneself, of the mechanism with which we generate our suffering-that is actually the end of suffering.
I can sense that when you, greunie, are just sitting with a person, reflecting their original and beautiful selves back to them, they are pulled from their drama and there is a little less suffering in the world.
