Hey all!
Sorry we haven't blogged in awhile, it was a busy weekend, and one of our homestay parents had an exam this weekend and was using the internet to study and do the exam!
So Friday I got done with the rough draft of my paper, which has turned into a 14.5 page paper, and I still need to add an abstract plus some musing one some Greek (yes I am connecting some Greek concepts with aborigine spirituality!) So to celebrate we went to an irish pub for lunch. Leif had a scotch fillet that needed some more spices, but I had Bangers and Mash! The bangers and mash was amazing! Of course we went and had a fruit smoothie at this fruit smoothie place that Leif and I have come to love deeply. Saturday we were going to go to the beach, but it was a bit cloudy so we decided to go adventuring in the market and get some things. We then came back and had some amazing steak that Don made for us! On Sunday we decided to go see a movie so we went and at some Malaysian food (Asian food is rather popular here!) and we found we had some time to burn. We went for a walk and found a Shipwreck museum! The museum was amazing to a look at and see the many different things ships had when they were explorering Australia. They had the lower stern of a ship and the thing was huge. Unfortunately I didn't get many picitures, but I did get one of Leif next to a smaller anchor that we saw outside the museum. I'll be posting that picture along with others later on today. We then went and saw the movie Cloverfield which is rather interesting. I think Ev might like it, so Ev if you are reading this I would like to hear your input on it. Schott bros: don't see it, you guys will fall asleep in it.
Today after we get back from Curtin Leif is going to go explorering the pool. Later on tonight Vanessa and Don invited us to go see a movie with them: Charlies Wilson's War. They have the tickets so we thought why not?
I don't think I missed anything, but Leif will cover me on anything I missed. Hope all is well in the states!
