Today we ventured out and about, learning a few important things. But first a recap...

We left around 9, got on the bus, and were undercharged for the trip, yay. At Curtin, we had a bit of trouble finding the proper building, but got there soon enough. At the Center for Aboriginal Studies, we met Darren and Lesley, the staffers who panned to help us in our reasearch. Surpridingly enough, Darren's Last name is Garvey (similar to Gravey, duh duh DUUHHH).

WE got oriented and did research at the center for about 3 hours then headed back to Fremantle. We were fully charged on the way back ( $3.40, ouch) We rested at home for about an hour then ventured out into downtown Fremantle.

Downtown Fremantle is full of small shops of many types. We walked on by on our way to the Fremantle station where we purchased Smart cards which will save us a bit of time and money on the buses. On the way back we stopped by a small food court and got some food. It was ok, we'll hopefully find some better food on another day.

Always walk on the LEFT side (we're still getting used to this switch.)
Though the transit system in Perth is very handy, it is also expensive for adults (as short visiting students, we don't get any discount that longer term students get)
