I think my favorite is the exchange between Jesus and the woman
at the well - there is something so heartbreaking about that
woman and Jesus is kind to her. My very close second would be
the woman that touched His robe when he was on his way to heal
someone else. I love that he calls her "daughter" as
with her illness in that culture - she most likely hadn't been
treated with any kindness or gentleness in all the years she was
sick. For Old Testament - I'm all about King David - he must
have been hot. . . .seriously.

Jonah's tale has a very personal meaning to me. and i love
Elijah's ministry and experiences with God. Ezekiel's attempt to
describe Holy Glory...poor guy, how can one put that into
description?! i delight in Paul's letters to Thessalonia
depicting Christ's Resurrection and return. i like how God picked
David for king, even though he was out in the fields and
overlooked initially. i also love that Moses had a
"crutch" and doubted his calling, but God turned his
crutch into a source/symbol of His mighty power. But, my
favorite story (hard to pick one) right now is the story of
Rahab(from the book of Joshua), the woman in Jericho who helped
the Israelite spies. she was a prostitute living in a town
contained (literally by the walls) nothing but idolatry and
immorality, but she said to the spies "i have heard of your
mighty God" and helped harbor the spies. BY HER FAITH, she
and her children, were spared of the invasion. the same red rope
that helped the spies climb out of her house, was how the
invading army knew to spare her. THE BLOODLINE OF CHRIST, because
the Lord didn't just save her, He gave her a prince of Judah
(Salmon) to be her husband and the child they conceived (Boaz)
went on to continue the geneology of Jesus (Matthew, 1)! i just
think that's so cool, image...Jesus' grandmother was a
prostitute...love covers a multitude of sins, and our God is
mighty to save! i see now, by the people i've chosen, that i
just love it when God uses those who no one would expect.even
Jesus was not what most people were expecting. the losers, the
bruised, the broken, in their weakness His strength is shown. in
their humility, His power displayed. that's a good lesson for me,
good question, goodnews! loveandblessings, paperlily
