Why are you cast, down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him

My experience with depressed people is that when they have suffered from long
periods of depression and begin to talk about suicide, we had better pay
attention.........Curtis C Thomas
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, Dear Lord, to pray for those who are suffering
from depression. Especially those who are contemplating suicide. I pray, Dear
Lord, that they call out to You to bring them out of their depth of despair.
Help them to realize that nothing or no one is worth killing them self over. Let
them know that there is hope for them through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
And Dear Lord, help us to recognize those who are depressed to the extent that
they make take their own life. Let us have the courage and and wisdom to step
forward and offer a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, words of encouragement
and prayer. In Jesus most precious name, I pray. Amen.
