 Paying Attention to Curb Appeal

We have always known that curb appeal was important in selling a house but maybe it more important now than ever. In the 2007 Remodeling Cost vs Value Report, the most profitable project nationally was replacement of siding. The recoup value was 85% of cost. Other outdoor project like wood deck additions and wood window replacement both have recoup value over 80% of cost. The only interior project to exceed 80% was minor kitchen remodel at 83% nationally. It stands to reason that curb appeal is playing an important role in today’s market. It seems more important now than ever to have good curb appeal when selling your home.
