 Mystery Movie Dialogue
March 30 2008

After you've watched enough old mystery movies, you'll notice that certain lines crop up in film after film.  Here are a few of them with just a little twist:

"That's right, Inspector.  I know the identity of the killer.  You see Frank lied about Harry being involved with Helen because he knew that Sam had hidden Paul's gun just before Louie found out that Sharon was...  I'm sorry, what was I talking about?"

"We found Shorty with five bullets in his head.  Of course we'll have to wait for the medical examiner to tell us the exact cause of death."

"You found out too much, Marlowe, so I've got to get rid of you.  Here, hold my gun while I tie you up."

"All right, Men.  All we know about the killer is that he stutters when he's excited.  Now, g-g-get out t-t-there and f-f-ind him."

"That corpse has to be around here somewhere. We just need to find it.  Jeez, but these sofa cushions we're sitting on are lumpy."

"You'll never stab me with that knife, Mugsy.  You're too yellow.  You haven't got the nerve to... Urkkkk!"

"You're offering me $50,000 to inform on the rest of my gang?  What kind of rat do you think I am?  I won't do it for a dime less than $60,000."

"So, my son walked into that bar and shot three people to death. Now, you want to send him to prison? That's always the way.  A kid makes one little mistake and you never let him forget it."

"Of course. I'm not trying to set you up, Nick.  A girl like me can't help falling for a handome guy like you.  I even bought you a shirt.  See?  It has a cute little bullseye stitched on the back."

What are some of your favorite movie lines?  I'd like to know.
