 Famous Movie Lines
March 8 2008

Some bits of movie dialogue have become so famous that hearing them immediately reminds you of the films themselves.  For example, if you heard somebody say jokingly, "Well, Toto, I guess we're not in Kansas anymore.", you'd probably recognize the line as being from MGM's 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz.

Here are some other bits of movie dialogue from classic films.  Can you identify the movie from which each one came?

1. "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

2. "Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?"

3. "You talkin' to me? Are you talkin' to me?"

4. "I'm shocked, shocked to learn that there's gambling going on here."

5. "It wasn't the planes.  'Twas beauty that killed the beast."

6. "Dave...  What are you doing, Dave?  Are you trying to deactivate me?"

7. "Baby, I just want to be the last one to die."

8. "Smile when you say that, Pardner."

9. "Frankly, My Dear, I don't give a damn."

10. "Where does he get those toys?"

Good luck.  I'll supply the answers tomorrow.

George
