Sometimes, when I'm watching a movie or a television show, one of the characters will say a line of dialogue that I just know will lead to something disastrous. Here are some examples:
"Mmmm. My word, Holmes! This steak and kidney pie is delicious. Sorry to interrupt you. What were you saying? The evil Moriarty has poisoned what?"
"Tom, these transformer robots can change into any shape they want. They'll destroy the Earth unless we drive into town and warn people. Let's take that car over there. The one with the arms and legs."
"Here's the hand grenade you wanted, Sarge. Oops! I pulled out that little pin thingy."
"I'm so glad you're here with me, Larry. There's a full moon and the villagers say a werewolf is on the prowl. Larry, did you forget to shave this morning?"
"Captain Picard, the Borg have learned how to look and act just like humans. The only thing that gives them away is that they tend to repeat what they've just said. Repeat what they've just said."
"Relax, Fay. That giant ape will never find us. Not up here, on top of the Empire State Building."
Maybe I'm just watching the wrong shows.
