Hi there everyone, this is my first entry, I'm writing this becuase I hope I can gain some other perspective on this situation and I'm hoping someone out there has a solution as to how I can make this work, let me first tell you my dilemma. My boyfriend is 22...he's italian...very successful accountant..and has potential for marriage..except for one thing that drives me up the wall almost every day..his family. Being italian they're very close and to me who isn't so close to their family it's kind of sickening to watch anyways thats besides the point. The problem is I'm in college and he's already been through college and univeristy but whenever I ask him to sleep over here in London so we can go out with me to a party or just get retarded drunk he says he can't because he has to drive home..and because his parents WON;T LET HIM STAY OVER...he's 22...he should be like moved out by now making his own decisions,,his parents control everything he does....and they're controlling our relationship..I guess I'm hoping and hanging on to him because I figure some day his parents will just all of a sudden let go...but now that i see his sister who is 28 and JUST getting married and moving out im not so sure...anyone please help with this issue how do i convince my boyfriend's parents to let him stay over??? or how do i convince my boyfriend to stand up for himself? He's tried talking to them too in case your wondering all last week but he says it just keeps turning into a huge argument and he gets nowhere...i don't think he's giving it his all. I want a boyfriend whose willing to do anything for me, even if it means going against his paremts wishes. Plz plz help me out. I've run out of ideas. |

Well Ginger I totally agree with you if yall was to get married is he always goin to let his parents butt in yalls personal lives i can understand him too though however you have to tell him if we was to get married do you have to come home to your parents no you come home to me tell him to quit being a titty baby hes grown man its his life and he needs to understan if he loves you he has to stand up to his parents not just for him or for you but for your relationship!! yall need to both sat down and talk out the boundaries believe me if you keep letting it go on it only gets worse i mean do you want to be married and his parents always butting in your business no when you fell in love with him you fell for him not his parents you know ask him what if it was the other way around what if it was your parents would it bother him ask him see what he says i hope my advice helps you a little but no matter what you have to decide for yall selves well anyways this is just my opinion...Lauren P.s I have a lot of probs if you read my blog i prolly could use your advice
