There she was
Last night I watched this really interesting program on television about internet, and children. It was crazy, I mean the internet first rose to a level of recognition in around what? 1996, I really started to use it when I was in year 8 and 9 so 96 / 97 but it has changed and develped so much since then. BUt back to the program, these kids had been using the internet since year 1, and a large part of their social interaction was taking place online, to an extent some of their most fulfilling interation was happening in online social spaces. The problem the documentary makers where looking at was the rise of siber bullying and the problem with it being out of the physical realm and therefore  difficult for parents and teachers to monitor .  They also considered the ability it gave to so many children to express themselves and to develope social relationships where in the physical world they had face significant issues of isolation. It is a facinating debate and one that we will be having for many years.

What does everyone think about this . I would love to hear everyones opinions.

: )

cheers
