Sycophantic rage
...yeh the title actually has nothing to do with what I am writing about today. I just like the word sycophantic, it has pscho connotations. I love a bit of psychosis.

Anyway back to my problem. I am having alot of trouble writing at moment which is rather a large problem as that is the purpose of 2008. I have to write a 20,000 thesis. Now, I have lots of things to say about my general topic of research. However, the first chapter has to be a liturature review, which basically requires that I talk about all the significant contibution made to the area of reseach, which in my case is nationalism and national identity. I am really struggling with writing about other peoples work, it makes me nervous. This nervosis  is strange as this ( writing about other peoples work) is pretty much all one does in their undergraduate work. Actually while I am nervous, it is probable more a feeling of being overwhelmed that is blocking my writing, there are just so many people who have written about nationalism and national identity, but most of the significant theorising is done in relation to europe, and I am writing about Australia, which is unique, due to many complicated and relational factors. AHHH... I am nervous of misinterpreting or oversimplifying theories that have taken 300 pages of a published text to flesh out.

Anyway... I went to my friends hens night a little while ago, it made me feel really old, very happy for her, but really old. She is marrying a great guy, and she is a wonderful person, it is really glorious when you see two people happy who really deserve to be so. I was so happy while celebrating that I drank a bit to much and spent the next day in bed, I don't think I have ever felt so ill, and to add insult to injury there was NOTHING on television.

Coke (the beverage) is really a wonder drug for hangovers, but its soothing effect it has on an alcohol ravaged stomach does suprise me given the well knowen corrosive properties it possesses.

Well thats enough rambeling.
