 Oooh....He's Back!! Thats right, E2S.....haha!!!
Okay peeps...Geordie Dave is back!! Altogether now...woohooo!!! Did ya miss me? Huh? How about you, EasyToSay (I'll get to you, all in good time missus!!) Lol x

So its good to be home. Had a 'moment' when I got out of the car and saw the spot that almost caused my demise (or worse, the demise of my lady and baby)...but when I got inside and saw what my lady and family had done for me (she said she'd never buy a Racing Post - ha!) I had to smile! Just whatever you do, dont make me laugh! Ouch!

I know that Cheb has been, and still is, worried about me, but right now...I feel okay. Mentally okay, anyway. Physically...damn it hurts like hell! Years ago I worked in Holland for a spell and I broke both feet jumping off the back of a lorry, and I have had back surgery too, but none of that hurts like this. Guess I shall do what I have always done...smile (grimace more like) and get through it. At least I am not alone, and those dear to me are not hurt, I couldn't bear that - this...I can, just.

I know the coming weeks arent gonna be easy...I'm gonna have good days, and bad...I have a splitting headache that wont shift, it hurts to breathe and I cant dance (not that I ever could) but hey...I'm alive and I'll mend. I shall use this blogging malarky to get me through, so bear with me...I have time to kill, I cant shift from this spot (have yet to need peepee, and that will be fun!) so its just me, my laptop and you guys...you lucky, lucky things.

To the wa**er who did this (fill in the blanks) I dont give a shite that you hurt me...I do give a shite that you missed my lady and my boy by millimetres, that you use a road used by CHILDREN as a drag strip, and I truly hope you are lying awake at night terrified you killed me. We are on to you and we will find you, and God help you should I ever get my hands on you - no one - NO ONE - jeapordises my life, and the lives of those I love, and gets away with it. Oh and to the North Tyneside council - what more do you need?? INSTALL TRAFFIC LIGHTS YOU BEAUROCRATIC TWATS!!

Okay...calm David, calm...breathe in - okay, dont breath in!! OUCH!!

Right, I am calm...deep blue ocean, deep blue ocean...lol

Where was I??
Ah! EasyToSay...all but two of my fingers are in tact, so watch out you!! Haha!!

Thank you. To my family, my beautiful lady, my gorgeous son (who is twirling the QOD baton as I write this and doesnt want to give it back now) and all my friends who have left me get well wishes...I'll be right as rain in no time and in the meantime will be blogging my ARSE OFF. Put that in your pipe and smoke it,
EasyToSay!! Haha x

Here's to being alive

Here's to STILL STANDING (just, and with a little help from Cheb and these crappy crutches....

Dave xxx

Listen Dave, you are a man I never want not on my side and I know you will find the person that hurt you if it is the last thing you do.

Well about time you were back here, anyone would think you had been laid up some where. LOL

Okay teasing finished.

I am glad you are home, I think the best place to mend is in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by all who love you, and boy can I feel the love all the way over here down under.

Thrill us with your words and we will listen.

But seriously I am glad you are home, and on the mend. My thoughts are with you.

LOL.... Dave you are one in a million!
Heidi & Stanley .. very very lucky family of Dave .... I salute you all!

Fantastic, glad to see you got all my messages! lol... and you had me cracking up right through this post. Knew you could do it, type with your good fingers that is!!!

Now, onto more serious matters, there are much easier ways to get out of changing Young Stanley's poohey nappies. But I guess some guys just go to extremes.

Oh and in all seriousness, the wanker who took you on, cowardly in his car, may he find himself with flat tyres in the hot sun, while the prawns in his back seat, seep into the clothe seats, to smell forever like his attitude (stinky!).

Type on, just don't laugh too much! !!

Thought that might be bad taste...and moi? tasteless? Never! Haha! Love the praws thing...may he be chased by a hundred bees and stung on his hoohaa and gonads!! hehehehehe xxxxx dave xxxxx

Welcome back, Dave!! We saved your seat for you! You gotta stop scaring us like this, though! Next time someone tells you to "go play in traffic" just say NO!

I'm so glad your home and I hope and wish you a speedy recovery!

Hit and runs are a common thing. That doesn't take away from the shock that people can actually do something like that!
I do however pray your not the one that finds this guy! I hope he is found and dealt with but I think you might be facing charges yourself if you were to find him first.
Hang in there and breathe easy (since it hurts)I know Cheb has to be elated that your home with her and your beautiful boy!

BootLady - why, thank you! I take it the seat is suitably cushioned for me though! And yes, I have had a reminder lesson from my mummy in road safety - she kept asking me 'what on earth were you doing crossing the road??' ermmm...gee mum...lets see...thats where the beach is perhaps?? Lol x Bless her x
Thanks for stopping by xxx Dave xxx

anotherdaze - i know you're right. theres not much chance of me finding him anyway, and if I did there isnt much I could do to him! The police know who he is now, they just cant find him, fingers crossed they will...

Thanks for your care and concern, its very kind of you :-) xxx Dave xxx ps.s hope you are feeling better soon too xxx

If you need the shite found, I'm your man. I found the hit and run driver who grazed my friends car, years ago, just waited at the same intersection, at same time of day, and sure enough, he drove on by and I got the license.
If the person is a local, they tend to use the same routes. You will find him/her. Hope you are fully recovered before you pay the visit though. Also, I found my stolen car, and got the person arrested, it was parked outside a bar, distintive car model, had beeen repainted. However I made sure it was my car,and called the police, and as they arrived, went in and said "sorry I just hit a classic car in the parking lot" and the woman tending bar started cursing, and called her husband to come quick, before hurrying out to have him deal with me, she ran right into the police waiting. The police took them both in, was she steamed! And he was mad at her! I got a good laugh. And my car. Good Luck, glad you are still standing.

stillkickin - haha...great story. I have thought that this kid (cause thats what I believe this kid essentially was) is local and so he cant hide for very long. Trouble is, there are so many like him...the road outside is a long, straight road nd they race up and down it...so I think I shall need to make my crusade higher than that one lad and his Vauxhall Corsa...I am going to get in touch with my neighbours, and the council and see about either getting a stronger police presence in the area (unlikely) or installing something to slow the cars down...anyhoo...if he's not found soon, I shall assemble a 'thoughts crew' to come on over and help me hunt him down...I shall put your name on the list! :-)

Thanks for stopping by xxx Dave xxx

A suggestion? While you are still on crutches make your town council appeal, little Stanley will be an asset in your presentation. How about speed bumps? so effective, cheaper than lights, faster to install, and the 'racers' will not do it twice.

Welcome home brother!! that was a hell of a trip... let me ask you something though... she is allready yours so why are you jumping infront of speeding vehicles to impress her? lol I am just playing man... I agree with another post I read today were the word Hero was used. You are a guy that makes all men proud. The man that helps fight off all the bad playboy press we get.... Kudos to you man.

circe - thats a great idea...I have already had visits from neighbours we hadnt actually met yet, being new here...and they're all backing me up. I think speed bumps would be ideal, or making the road an 'access for residents only' road...its not the only way from one half of the town to the other, and the car parks are either end. I will keep you all posted on my progress! :-) xx

Douglas - thank you! I have a feeling you and I share many similar qualities, my friend and when I eventually make it to the US you are on my list of people to sit and have a drink with, if you're willing x my mum also said 'she's agreed to marry you, you didnt need to throw yourself in the path of a car!' lol...mind you, she also said the next time I 'put my life in danger like that' she's gonna 'kill me'...go figure...
Thanks for stopping by and your very kind comments xx Dave xx

Dave -- Welcome home. I was sharing with Cheb how my mom had to sleep in a chair when she broke her ribs ... it was the only place she could get comfortable. I remember how hard it was for her to breathe and how much pain she was in. Your thoughts family is ready and waiting to read whatever you need to write. I'm so glad you are going to be OK ... don't ever scare me like that again, Dave! Please take extreme care of yourself. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Cheb and precious little Stanley. Peace.

ColoradoDreaming - thank you. Yes, I have found too that sitting up is about all that works sleep-wise. I have been told if my breathing doesnt improve I may need to go back to hospital for a while longer - dont want to have to do that, but I'm not really coping with it very well and maybe left there a little hastily, I'm not sure. Time will tell. Thank you so much for your kindness, my friends here are really helping me through this. Thank you xxx Dave xxx
