We met by pure chance
Or maybe it was more
I didn’t know she
I would come to adore
We talked for a while
And she opened up to me
I could see what she was
And what she wanted to be
A beautiful girl
With a beautiful soul
In need of someone
To make her feel whole
Days turned to weeks
We talked until dawn
And out of this talking
True love was born
She took over my mind
My thoughts and my heart
I knew from that time
In my life she had a part
He never did get
What a rare jewel he had
He didn’t even realise
How he made her so sad

Just to see her face
The first day we met
