| Alcoholics |
A horrible raging weak "disease" innocent-seeming only for the legal state of being. I thought heroin addicts were the worst; how the life is sucked out of your loved ones and their shells are left all filled up with the dope. That is a sneaky thing. You think you know who you're with, but you don't. The alcoholic has a shell fueled with something else, and you know you aren't with the one who once lived in that shell. Possesion. Scary actions, scary words, scary how they aren't in there, but nothing is; it's nothing more than an animated zombie, all hopped up on rage and sorrow, the only things that survive the poison. The one you know returns when the poison's gone, but they don't believe what happened, they don't know why they're in jail, they don't know why you're bloody or bruised, they don't know who trashed their house, or why everybody is mad at them. They blame and point until they feel as if it is all a lie. One day they realize they are monsters when they drink. It doesn't stop them from drinking again. They are in love with their poison, just like all the addicts are with their love affairs. They don't care who they hurt, they don't care how they hurt themselves; they just can't say goodbye to it. They think they can drink a little because they aren't monsters until they drink a lot. So they drink a little, but the poison they love is a manipulating bitch. They just want to be with it, once they are reunited with it, because the drink is so good to them; makes them feel powerful and warm, all is forgiven with the poison, and the trancing brew never yells at them for acting crazy; in fact, it's with them when they do those things everybody else hates them for doing. And so the monster lives on, and on, and on...
When will the beast go away?
Does anyone here happen to know how to break the trance?
