		Just because it's one planet doesn't mean it the world should function as one. By that reason, I should also be able to be one with your wife and daughters, or your mom and sisters. The sad fact is, history repeats itself. If Canada, America, and Mexico became a union, inside of one hundred years there would be a civil war in which one of the three nations would be vanquished and exploited by the other two, just as the south was vanquished and exploited by the north.

		The cultural "melting pot" seems to me to have led to a fractious separatist citizenry in the US and the UK. Is it really possible for very different cultures to meld on such a large scale without separatist issues which could well lead to civil war?
