| the road |
On some forgotten highway, on the side of the road, my memories lay lingering,
Shaking off the cold,
Hooking a ride to neverland, where the visions still play,
Hooking a ride to nowhere, to the place where my heart lays.
You once said you loved me with a smile on your face,
You held me tight and kissed me goodnight,
But you ran to your other, your lover, your friend.
So many things left unsaid, so many actions left undone,
You left me on a fall day, we never shared a bed.
You and I did not have one final embrace
No kiss goodbye, not even a wave to say so long take care.
You left me on a fall day and didn’t even say
I am sorry.
How long will it take to get to no where man?
How long will it take to forget what will be and remember what should be?
How long for forever? How long till someone draws me a new future
With blood soaked finger on a white rose.
It was a storm before the calm
You and I where just travelers destination who knows?
You had a vision I had a dream.
I dreamt off forever you envisioned how long.
Twist wreckage is what we left behind.
Broken people is what we are.
A broken window in a factory long since past
Dirty shadows float by, a silent scream echoes from throats long since silenced by your hand
You stole my visions you took my dreams
My past my future my present my self
We have perished at your feet
Distant memories is what I have
Lonely valleys where I lie looking at god I wonder am I dead forgotten on some lonely highway
Just traveler looking for his goodbye....
