Hi, I've been really busy the past two weeks, working really hard. Not been getting home till late and then being so very tired. ouch. Plus, someone dear to me has decided, out of the blue, to divorce her husband for some stranger that she has NEVER met, just communicated with over the internet!
Is that crazy or what? After just 5 months of talking back and forth with this guy, she is ready to throw away her marriage to a really great guy for this man she has never seen in person! She believes when they meet, they will fall in love at first sight and live happily ever after. He is a single guy, no kids; she has been married for 8 years and has 3 kids. How do you think that is going to work out? My thoughts on the subject? I think she has gone insane! I know that nothing I can say will change her mind; she's already decided that she knows best and she's 'in love'. I am really afraid for her, and the safety of her children as she will be dragging them along with her. Any thoughts on the subject?

That's a scary scenario. As her friend its going to be hard for you to support her. You must be really worried.

Hmmm... well its obviously hard for her to be objective about this... since her emotions are involved so much...
maybe you could drop an idea that the guy should come and meet her.. BEFORE she does any leaving or divorcing...
maybe mention it to her... in a positive way... not as if you are against him.... otherwise she wont listen...
Tell her something like... if you are really going to go ahead with this... well the divorce might get ugly especially with the kids, and posible problems there... wouldnt it be ncie if your friend was here with you to help you with that... can he come to see you before you start all this.. maybe he can be your support and help you with things... you souldnt have to go thru this on your own..... especially now that he is around...
that way maybe she will tell him to move his behind and come see her... that way she will know if he is serious... and she will hopefuly meet him before she goes ahead with any diorce...
just an idea...

The trouble is that she has already told her husband that she wants a divorce..........and why! She has just jumped into this thing head first, burning her bridges as she goes. Her children are suffering a lot over this as her oldest daughter (age 12) is a daddy's girl and is really upset about her dad being taken away from her. Her middle son (age 11) has already gotten hurt (his leg caught on fire while playing with a neighbor) and has 2nd degree burns on it. All because she is too 'busy' playing the game (WoW), the one where she met her 'Mr.Perfect'
