 Happy Thanksgiving
Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in the United States.  Several of us met at my sister's house for a most grand meal; more food than even all of us could eat, so we got to take left overs home!  Today, we made a trip down to my parents house as they didn't make it yesterday due to my Mom's medical condition.  So, we took all kinds of goodies for them to eat, enough to last them a few days.  Even Mom ate well, without help (she has been having help with feeding lately, but not today). I think she knew it was a special occasion, though hard to tell for sure (she has Alzheimers disease).  We thought we had lost her a couple of weeks ago.  The home care people had the family called in, they didn't think she would make it much longer as she had quit eating and drinking anything, almost comatose.  But, after 3 days, she made a come back, started eating and drinking again.  She is one tough lady!  What am I thankful for?  For the opportunity to have one more holiday with her, to tell her again that I love her cause there may not be another time to do that.  Thanks Mom for all you've done for me and for being my Mom, you are the greatest.
