 Gay Marriage!!
Gay Marriages...why is this such a big issue?  Does is really matter if two males or two women get married?  I do not see why we shouldn't be allowed to marry.  I am lesbian and I do plan on getting married some day.  Yet, how am I supposed to get married if laws are prohibiting my rights as an American citizen.

Growing up military you quickly learn that everyone is created equal, especially in God's eyes.  He never intended there to be such prejudice between His peoples.  The Bill of Rights grants us the freedom of religion and speech and press without prosecution. Why the hell should the person we choose to marry be any different.

The last time i checked this was a democracy and I had the choice of doing as i please. I do not need some uptight republican telling me that I am wrong and that because of my sexual orientation I am NOT allowed to get married. You do NOT choose who you fall in love with.  Whether that be a woman or a man.  No one should restrict people from being with the ones they love.  It is unlawful and unconstitutional. And damn it, it is not treating homosexuals equally.

The Bible says that a man should not lay with man yes...but right under that verse it also says that we should not eat meat..i understand where you are coming from and i on the other hand am STILL a Christian...i wholeheartedly believe that God still loves me and Im going to Heaven when i die. The Bible tells me that there is NO unforgivable sin EXCEPT blasphemy to the LORD.

As someone who professes to be a Christian, you should at least be able to get parts of the Bible correct that you use to make your case. The phrases about man not lying with a man are from Leviticus 18:22 and again in Leviticus 20:13. Neither of them are immediately followed by us being commanded not to eat meat.
Although there is no sin that is unforgivable except blasphemy, the forgiven of sins is through repentance and that means to turn away from your sin.

Although it was true that there were some racially discriminatory people who help found our country, there was a very distinct reason that slaves were treated as 3/5 of a person with regards to population. This was a compromise from the northern states against the southern states. Those primarily in the north, but not all of course, wanted to free the slaves and thought it wrong. Those of the South did not, in general with the huge amount of slave labor being used.
The way of system of Government was set-up with the number of Representatives in the House being based on population, if all the slaves were counted in the south as full people, then the south would have been able to maintain complete control over that part of the govenrment. That would mean the south would gain the benefit of the slaves being counted, but the slaves themselves having no representation.
The compromise was to count them as 3/5 in order to keep a better balance in the House that would eventually enable the abolitionist to grow in power and overturn slavery and slave trade.
A dispicably slow process and unfortunately necessary action that kept the states united until the full weight of the Constitution of life, liberty and pursuit of hapiness could be fulfilled. This process is still going on today in a never ending attempt to rid ourselves of racial hatred and discrimination.
