| Getting a taste of the county fair!!

What do you get when
you take a bunch of 4-H kids, the Calhoun County Fair, freaking hot weather and me?!
Have you figured it out yet?
Well I haven’t got much time, so I will explain it for you!
This is really my first time at our county fair.
Okay take that back, two days ago when the actual first day of the fair started, mom and I happen to get back in time to see the parade!
Now on this particular day at the fair the weather was unbelievably hot, humid and hardly any movement in the air!!
Tom and I had a friend whose kids were going to show their goats and chickens. How cute is that?!
Never will you meet a cuter boy with a love for goats like this kid. So I had to take the moment and go watch him show!
As I step foot onto those grounds and saw all the adorable animals, and they even let you pet them, I was hooked!!
Why couldn’t I have been in 4-H rather than Girl Scouts?!
Okay so the rabbits were to show at 1pm and then the goats, right?!
That was the plan of events.
So I said I would plan on going whenever the rabbits would get close to being done, besides it was to hot and looking at rabbits was not sounding like it would be much fun.
Our friend stated the rabbits would be done probably around 2pm.
WRONG!!
I showed up by 1:45pm to see that the rabbit judging was still in process. Then I believe it was dog showing before I realized it was like 3pm!
UGH!!
I was sweating all over, thirsty and getting a headache from the heat. I excused myself from the activities to run and get gas, groceries and dog food saying I would come back through before going home. By then the goats should show.
After all this and that I did watch the goat showing! The bad thing was the poor kid had no one to compete against except a pigmy goat that was a different class by itself!
So he ended up showing the other goat he had brought along and had a friend show it with him!!
Guess what place he won?!
Grand champion and reserve champion!!
So what is the answer to the question above?
Well it’s like this……
You get a lot of fun, get to make an acquaintance with my fellow community and the thought of “ I cannot wait to get home and tear off these clothes and sit naked for awhile “!! My house, my rules! lol
