What I do with my free time
Dear Federal Wildlife Service,
I don't think the rats on Rat Island should be poisoned or killed off completely.  I think a predator should be introduced.  You could introduce an endangered predator, and that would solve two problems at once.

I think birds are a "lower" form of life than rats.  Call me a "mammalist", but I have owned rodents as pets, and they are quite intelligent and have emotions, much more than birds I would suspect.  Also, being sentient creatures, they do not deserve to be killed, especially in an act of "specicide".  If we follow this logic, humans should be eradicated from North America as an invasive species, or, in fact, from the entire earth except for Africa.

Finally, even if you kill the rats, their name will live on forever on maps around the world.  It's like visiting Indianapolis.  "Where are all the Indians?"

Sincerely,
(friendofnemo)
