my roommate has done that & it seriously creeps me out. he's got his own little world going on online. i've tried to encourage more human interaction/socialization but he seems to be perfectly at ease with never having to actually see any of the people he 'meets.' it's not always the case because he has actually gone on to meet some of them in the flesh but still...
to each his own i suppose but i still think that's unhealthy. there's definitely nothing wrong with meeting people online but not if u replace normal human interaction with it.

u gave me some insight into what my dad was going through when my parents got divorced. at the time i couldn't understand much past what my mother told us but now that i'm an adult, i think that the way she handled the whole thing was positively despicable. keep ur head up.

first of all, i love that movie. secondly, i also came to that realization not too long ago. it sux & had me wondering whether or not we are being fair to children when we allow them to think that life is nothing but a game; only to rip it away from them one day when they are 'old enough to understand' or whatever the occasion/excuse may be.

i admire ur determination & getting to the gym at 4AM!!!!!!!! good luck! u'll do it! u definitely sound ready. i lost 100lbs a few years back just from exercise & changing the way that i eat & how i look at food. u can do it!

people suck. i kno u've heard it a thousand times but it's so true --> what ur looking for the most will come to you when you least expect it. just keep living life & doing what u do. besides, relationships aren't always what they're cracked up to be! i maintain --> THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER!!! i agree with that. there's nothing like looking up when ur having a bad day into the eyes of a complete stranger & getting smiled at. u can't help but smile back & the second u do, it's like a weight lifts (if u didn't realize that u were being 'broody') haha at least in my experience anyway....
as for people taking u for granted... that's a sticky one. some people should be allowed to because they don't realize they're doing it & still need u. other people either do it intentionally (& obviously don't deserve it) or do it unintentionally & don't deserve it. those people need to be cut off asap.

sometimes i wonder if the government made the economy so terrible on purpose to make so many young people like us actually *want* to join the military as opposed to imposing a draft... make absolutely sure that's what you want to do mama... a couple of my brother's friends joined because of the same situation you are in & now regret it greatly. it's a huge committment. there are other ways to fix a debt problem. (trust me, i'm there now too)
don't let anyone tell u that not having ur degree makes it impossible for u to be successful either! i never got mine & i currently work for merrill lynch in an entry level position. i've definitely had to work my ass off to get here but there ARE opportunities. u just have to keep working hard & seek them out while keeping a sharp eye out so u recognize them when they come along as well.

i wonder about that sometimes.... why we all seem to seek anonymity & want to hide our thoughts & feelings from those who are closest to us.
also, wouldn't it be crazy if the person that comments the most on ur blog turned out to be someone u kno or vice versa?
i am often paranoid that someone i kno will come across this site & by reading some of the situations, would be able to figure out it's me.
do u find urself censoring some things for fear that someone could still figure out it's u? if so, doesn't that kind of ruin it?
don't mind me btw, i'm in a very pensive mood today. haha sorry! ;o)

i like ur take on it with the 'coke vs pepsi' thing. ur so right. people need to understand that they are only entitled to their *own* beliefs, morals & actions. you simply cannot impose ur will on anyone else. it's not up to you to decide what other people think/feel/do etc. in my opinion, if everyone would mind their own business more often, the world would be a much more peaceful place.
btw 'tech4Him' --> u missed the entire point of this entry. wake up buddy.

u didn't do anything wrong. sex is part of life & it happens. especially at new year's eve parties. lol
guys can be so weird. they claim that we (girls) are so complicated but they're just as hard to understand sometimes. classic venus vs mars scenario. in any event, it sounds to me like he might be avoiding the situation due to the circumstances of his past relationship. maybe he still has feelings for the chick that got married while he was in jail & wasn't ready to start something with u but doesn't know how to deal with that.
ride it out & see what happens. try to take ur mind off it as often as u can (believe me, i kno how hard that can be) but just remember that even if he did use u for sex, u will get through/over it & it'll be his loss in the end. learn from it is good advice but we don't always see these things coming. he seemed like a nice guy & he showed interest in you so why would u think otherwise? more than 'learning from it,' just try ur hardest not to let it make u jaded. (reference dude above who commented about it making u hard & develop distrust in men) that part i agree with.
not all guys are horny bastards that just want sex & will stop at nothing (including crushing a girl's heart & spirit) to get it. there are plenty of guys out there that will treat you how you deserve to be treated. sometimes u just have to kiss a few frogs before u find ur prince ;o)

that's awesome that u finally did what you sound like u should have done a long time ago. i grew up in a situation similar to that with my parents & then wound up getting into a very long relationship that i couldn't find my way out of for four & a half years. he wasn't abusive physically but there were more than enough reasons for me to leave. it's definitely alot easier said than done. congrats on ur new freedom!

what kind of medicine is it? have u asked about he hallucinations? is that a normal side effect?? doesn't sound like it should be...
i was thinking about getting my nose pierced...just a tiny little diamond stud. i'm not sure if it really suits me tho... on top of that i work for an extremely corporate company in manhattan & i'm not so sure it'd go over very well unless i could pass it off as a cultural thing.

u'll be in my prayers. i'm sorry to hear he's caught up in all of that. people i know are caught or have been caught in similar situations & it's just frustrating to have to watch when you care about them. but it sounds like ur son has ample support to help him through & one day everything will be ok.
and i agree about the system - it's simply ass backwards
