Thoughts.com Blogs - Jesus or Jack Daniels?

Hanging out with friends, partying, and just having fun requires a little bit of alcohol once in a while. I totally understand the whole, "lets not get sloshed and not remember anything". The thing that I dont understand is the B word. Im talking about the bible. The bible says NOT to become drunk, it does NOT say do not drink. Now I am a religious person and I have found myself drinking on many occasions, even drunk at times. But there has NEVER been a time when I didnt remember the whole night. Im not sure if drinking is totally against the bible and or if what Im doing, which is casually drinking, is going against Jesus. I know many of you who are reading may not have the same believes as myself, but I do beleive that everyone at one point in their life has seen drinking as being a "bad" thing. Remember when you were in elementary school or even junior high? They used to have special assemblies to talk to the students about drinking and doing drugs, thats when I viewed drinking as being "bad" or "sinning". I guess Im just not sure what other peoples views are on this subject. I mean the stereotypes that people have on Christians are not dared to me broken by thoughs who beleive in Jesus Christ. If some who wasnt religious saw someone who was religious drinking, they non-religious person would be totally quick to judge the Christian. Maybe Im just being bias to Christians because Im religious, I have no idea. All I know is that this is a VERY touchy subject and many people have many different perspectives and views on this topic. I do not expect anyone to respond to this blog, but if you do, I will be more than happy to discuss this subject with you if you wish. I really appreciate ya'll reading this blog. Thanks! Peace Out.
