ARMAGEDDON

Chapter One
The approach
Many teach that Armageddon is a co-working effort between Gog and Magog. They assume that this verse; Rev. 20:8 “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea”, is tied to this coming war. Don’t you just sense in your heart that this war is coming soon? However, the assumption that this war, that even Hollywood is making movies about, is not what this verse is speaking about. It also does not tie together Gog, the antichrist, with Magog, the son of Japheth, who is the son of Noah. In fact, verse eight represents the peoples of the world, still living during the 1,000-years-reign, who are still against our Lord Christ, who shall return on a white horse with “King of kings & Lord of lords” written thereon.
This speaks of a time after the utter destruction by God of Gog’s armies at Armageddon and even still after God pleads with them, with plagues, during the great tribulation. These people will still audaciously gather themselves to war against our Savior and King. I speculate that they will even claim that by their great power, they were able to live for a thousand years! This verse clearly speaks of another gathering of devil driven people and represents a distinctively different battle than Armageddon.
So we must rightly divide the word of truth. We must place each verse in the chronological order that it needs to be placed in. This soon- coming war is clearly spoken of in Ezekial 38 -39 and in Daniel. I will base this teaching upon these two books of the bible. I will not go beyond the range of revelation the Lord has imparted to me. This revelation bears witness of these two books of the bible.
Chapter Two
The revelation imparted
We have been missionaries for many years, in the Republic of Georgia. Georgia is in the southeast corner of the Black Sea. We first worked and started a church, in southern Russia, in the region of Stavrapol. In the early months of our work, we would travel through the Caucasus Mountains to visit Georgia. When we traveled through these Georgian mountains, I sensed that we were called to “the land of Magog” , according to my inaccurate understanding of Ezekial:38 &39. God was making clear to me, that this nation represents a large part of this soon coming war.
A few years later, a very learned Georgian historian gifted me with a Greek mythology book in the Russian language. “You talk about it being Greek to me!” In our type of education system, he would have a doctorate in the nearly 4,500 years of Georgian history. When this master of Georgia’s 4,000+ years of history extended his hand to give this gift to me, God’s Spirit prompted me to ask him; “Have you ever heard of Tubal?” This historian answered “ Yes, the very first inhabitants of Georgia were Tubalians. Ezekiel 38:2 “Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.” Tubal and Meshech are the two son’s of Japheth in this verse (that the antichrist will be setting up his main headquarters.)
His answer prompted my wife, Sally, together with our Georgian interpreter, to search the ancient history books in this country and prove his answer to be true. Not yet satisfied, I searched our public library system in America. Both information sources had proved this man’s answer to be true. I found a publication from London press entitled “Georgia in Antiquity” that qualified this historian’s reply. In the Georgian, as well as the English language, we found documented proof that the first people that settled this former Soviet Union Republic was, in fact Japheth’s son, Tubal. We further discovered that another son of Japheth, Meshech, also settled in a region called Mesketti in the republic of Georgia. In Gen. 10:1 Now these are the Generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth. 2.
The sons of Japheth, Gomer,and Magog and Madiai and Javan and Tubal and Mesheck and Tiras. 3. And the sons of Gomer; Ah=shkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
God was truly revealing to me something that was to change my thinking on the subject of Armageddon. I also knew that through me, a different light would be cast on this much taught on subject. Please note that I am not the type of teacher that goes into great detail of unfulfilled prophetic scripture. My whole heart is to win many souls to Jesus before we are raptured away. I have not received my Doctorate of Divinity; nor will I bore you with details that are even way over my head. God has given me this fresh revelation that is separate, and maybe contrary to the normal teaching on this subject.
Ezekiel 38:2 “Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him”. Let me try to simply explain this verse. There is only one person in this verse that is not a son of Japheth. This person is the antichrist named here, Gog. Magog, Meshech, and Tubal are all sons of Japheth, making them grandsons of Noah. Now if these three sons lived peaceably in their world, then it can be much easier to locate their lineage today.
This type of people would very seldom leave their continent making them “home-bes”. Also, we see another name that seems to be the name of a person. In a few translations in the English language, specifically, the New American Standard, the New King James and the Amplified Bible uses a word that seems to be a person’s name. In verse two, these translations read of Rosh. However, this is a Hebrew word that is spelled Rosh in English. It is simply translated the chief of prince. Without question, Rosh is a Hebrew word. In the Strong’s, it is #7218, which is defined as the chief of, the choicest and the best. Therefore, The (chief of) Prince, is an accurate translation of this Hebrew word. Yet this verse has led an entire group of Christians to believe that the headquarters of the antichrist will be located in Russia, simply from these inaccurate translation.
In a commentary bible written by Dake, there is a geneology that he puts on page fourty, which is Gen.41. Magog, the progenitor of the Scythians and Tartars, whose descendents predominate in modern
Russia. Magog was also a general name of the country north of the Caucasus Mountains, which are between the Black and Caspian seas.
Tubal, progenitor of the Iberians, Georgians, Cappadocians, and other Asiatic and Eugopean races.
Then there is the statement in Ez. 38:6&15, which indicates that the allies of Gog will be located at least north of Israel. In (KJV), vs.6 reads (northern quarters) where vs.15 reads (north parts). There are many nations north of Israel besides Russia. There are also many Muslim nations north of Israel. I am convinced that in this soon-coming war, the antichrist will lead Muslims from around the world to do battle with their most hated enemy. God will once and for all demonstrate by destroying Gog’s army who He has chosen as the true children of Abraham.
Chapter Three
“Rosh is not Russia”
If Russia is assumed as Gog’s headquarters, with it’s present capital of Moscow, then what do we conclude from a verse in Daniel? Daniel 11:44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. The” him” in this verse is the antichrist, but what great tidings of unrest or military threat would be coming from the north or east of Moscow? Sweden and the North Pole are north of Moscow; only Siberia is east. Therefore, there is no logic to the idea of the capital of Russia being the antichrist’s choice.
I have been in contact with both Russian, and Georgian generals, that took part in the Afghanistan War. They experienced defeat in this war that was much more devastating to the Soviet Government than our Vietnam War. They told me “ did you know that more than half of the former Soviet Union’s vast population is Muslim? The fact is, it is
closer to 60%. With this type of majority represented in the population of the former USSR, how can Communism survive? Communism proclaims “ALLAH is dead”!
When these Muslim men were drafted in the Soviet Army, they were acting against their Koran to fight against their Muslim brothers in Afghanistan. There was so much contention after this defeat that the weak and corrupt Soviet government collapsed. The repercussions of this war so devastated the Communist government in Russia that if ever this nation rises again to World Power, that it will be named “Russiastan”, with it’s capital renamed “Moscowstan”, which depicts a Muslim name. (To understand how vast of a Muslim population resides in the former Soviet Union, it is very near to the Muslim population in the Middle East. )
The vast majority of this population occupies the southern section of USSR. I call them the Stan’s. They run from the Black Sea, all the way to China. They are Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Dakistan and the other Tashkent Muslim nations. Also included in this area is Chechenia and Azerbaijan. This is a nomadic tribe of Muslims that were force-marched to an area just north of Georgia by one of the Russian Czars.
Chapter Four
The next piece to the puzzle
Now comes the next part of the Armageddon puzzle. Most Americans don’t know that in the early 1990’s, a massive oil reserve was tapped into along the Caspian Sea. I have heard that it is second only to the Middle East oil but second to none in quality. They say that it is so pure that it hardly needs refining. Even if what I heard is an exaggeration, I know first-hand that the largest oil companies are playing for a position to get their piece of the pie.
Yet if you look on an atlas, you will see that the Caspian Sea is land-locked. Like most oil reserves, the nations where this reserve is located are Muslim nations. However, the problem is getting this crude oil to the World Market. It could be transported by rail, yet where would it go? It has to be transported west to Europe--but northwest of its location is Russia. This government is now as corrupt as during communism and 10 Mother Russia is still fighting for these breakaway Republics to come back under her wings. The other way is through Afghanistan and then down the Persian Gulf. That’s just as unsafe. What they have decided is to take this crude oil as the crow flies to the Black Sea right through the country of Georgia. The first pipe line was completed in 1998. Now, they are working on their third line.
This choice of transporting the Caspian Sea oil reserve has now placed this small country named Georgia as a vital link (of) the world future oil consumption. Thus it is also of great interest to the antichrist that the bible calls it Gog. I sense that this war of Armageddon is coming soon. I sense in my heart that the antichrist is already a teenager, if not even older. The Bible tells us that he will rally the world around him, gaining world power. Well if the antichrist can position himself to gain control of the oil reserves of the world, he would control by his wealth great powe.r. With this power he can rule the world!
This is his goal to gain control of the world and then demand the entire world to take the mark of the beast. Rev. 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. Rev. 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Chapter Five
The first invasion
Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
The antichrist will invade the nation of Israel twice. These two verses above tell of the first invasion. Gog will first desecrate the temple in Israel. I might add that the temple is not yet built, but he will have to be recognized by the Jews to have levitical roots in his genealogy. This first intrusion will come about the middle of the great tribulation. The fact is that he will not have the military union in place at this time. He will not yet have the aliens with the Arab Countries. Therefore without his great army the only way that he would get into the temple is to be recognized as a Jewish Levite.
Gog will not have success in residing in Israel but he will succeed in getting support from the Arabs. In chapter four, I spoke of the crude oil being piped through the Republic of Georgia. This will be the reason for his headquarters in this country. Also, the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia have peaks as high as the Swiss Alps. These mountains offer military advantages as we now see in America’s battle in Afghanistan.
As I said before, Gog will be tempted in this country of Georgia because of oil. But it is also geographically between the Muslims of the Middle East and those from the former USSR. Once again this war is between the Arabs and the Jews. The allies of Gog are clearly Arabs. Ezekiel 38:5-6 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
This book is speaking of his second invasion. This one is called Armageddon. It will occur during Daniel’s seventieth week or between seven and seven and a half years of tribulation. Ezekiel 38:5-6 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Persia, Libya and Ethiopia are all Arab nations. Gomer is said to be in Germany and Togarmah? is the great grandson of Noah. When the antichrist invades Israel the second time, he will have the endorsement of the whole world. But what will tempt him to go back to Israel?
Chapter Six
The second invasion
This second invasion is what the Bible calls Armageddon. I have told you why Gog would be interested in the small Republic of Georgia. Well Israel is about to tap into “the mother load!” Genesis 14:10 And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain. The vale of Siddim is a valley full of bitumen pits, which were later sunk under the waters of the Dead Sea when Sodom was destroyed by God. Look at Genesis 14:10 , “Now the Valley of Siddim was full of asphalt pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled; some fell there, and the remainder fled to the mountains. Again Genesis 14:10 “Now the Valley of Siddim was full of asphalt pits;” These pits were sold at that time to the merchants traveling through Sodom to use in their lamps for light. In other words, these pits were surface signs of crude oil seeping up to the surface of this land that is located in the southeast corner of the Dead Sea.
I am writing this book at the end of the year 2001. Did you know that there are stocks being sold on the American stock market for a company that has begun to drill for this oil in Israel? The records of the survey machines used to determine what lies in the southeast corner of the Dead Sea indicate that it is a massive oil reserve that until this very year has remained virgin. JESUS IS COMING SOON!
Do you know what I am saying? This will be the reason for the antichrist to be tempted to invade Israel the second time, with all of his jealous Arab allies! This is also why the Muslims will be influenced to take the mark of the beast during the tribulation. 1 Cor. 2:9-10 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. The church may not be here during the great tribulation, but by God’s Spirit God reveals the deep things.”
Chapter Seven
Study to show thyself approved
So now go to Ezekiel 38 and 39. Our present war on terrorism is costing billions of dollars and may take many years. But in this soon coming war, God will utterly destroy Gog’s massive army. Not one weapon will even be fired. God will supernaturally destroy every last one of them with His glorious power from heaven. Once again His glory will be seen by all flesh together.
Are you ready? You see those that are born-again will not witness this war, because they will be raptured away before it even starts. Are you born- again? Do you know, that you know that Jesus lives in your heart?
If you’re not sure then repeat this prayer out loud.
“Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus. Jesus, you died for me. You went to hell for me. But I’m so glad you didn’t stay there. For with great power from heaven you were raised from the dead. I want that power. Forgive my sin. Change my heart. I ask you to be my Lord and I will serve you all the days of my life, amen.”
