This question has been bugging me. Can understand in way, but then can't. Rather be informed then not been informed. Misinformed doesn't bother as much. Especially in this day and age. Have no clue what it was like before these times.

Depends on the preaching which I assume is the word you wanted.

If it's ridiculously obvious and the person knows it then it seems like you are treating them as though they are stupid.

If it's something which is a matter of opinion and not fact then it devalues that person's opinions.

Sharing your opinions is fine.... acting as though someone else is wrong because it differs from your own views is not. Fine to disagree but always need to be aware of the possibility of you being wrong as well.

Takes time and everyone sort of gets like that at times. It's a sign that your opinions are important to you and that's not a bad thing as long as you understand that theirs are important to them to.

It would be great if people could always just express their thoughts and people could read/listen with an open mind. I suppose problems arise and people become preachy more when they begin to make their thoughts pointed toward a specific individual or group of people. That's when the name calling and insults begin. . .that's when the preaching and hate usually happen.
