Huckabee takes Texans by storm!! Huck Surging agai

I have no doubt that once texas digs in on the issues and they see where Huckabee stands on the Issues. They will began to rally behind him. The movement is just starting in the polls. February 19th according to a CNN poll McCain had a nice lead at 55% of the vote compared to Huckabees 32% - That is a lead of 23% for McCain, Now compared to a poll taken on February 22nd as reported by the Rasmussen Report- It has McCain at 46% and Mike Huckabee at 37% with McCain leading by 9%.
Thats means that in just three days Huckabee has Surged up 5% in just 3 days compared to McCain who has Slipped 9% in just 3 days.

This could be because of the John McCain ethic issues or it could be because a Candidate that hadnt gotten much coverage nationally is now getting quite a bit of coverage locally in Texas. It seems that some of the most important issues on the blogs are The Economy and Immigraton. This observation is backed up by the Rasmussen poll which was released on the 22nd of February 2008, that sites the most important issue is indeed Economy, followed by Immagration. With Mike Huckabee winning the over whelming majority of those who site Immagration as the most important issue in texas.

Mike Huckabee is the only viable candidate left that has spoken out against the controversial "Amnesty" and is against it. He also has a 9 point program to deal with illiegal Immagration. Including Securing the border, Punishing those who hire illeagals, and no amnesty for those who have came here illeagally. With the overwhelming Majority of texan voters against Amnesty this may be resinating with the voters.
Nationally the overwhelming Majority of Americans also disagree and oppose Amnesty.

Mike Huckabee is also very popular among Conservative voters. Being viewed as the last conservative choice by many. Huckabee has positioned himself to imerge as the true conservative being conservative in many areas such as Pro Life, Pro Second Ammendment, and Sharing many of the Conservatives Ideas on immagration. McCain has been Critisized as being too liberal, on many of these issues. He Co sponsered a bill that would of given illeagals Amnesty, and not always voting in line with the conservatives when it comes to pro-life issues. McCain also crossed the Isle voting against many of Bushes Tax Cuts to the wealthy. Just recenly switching his position to keep the Bush tax cuts in place if he becomes president. There is also the McCain scandal linking him to a female Lobbyist.

Looks like maybe again. Mike Huckabee with very limited funds. Often outspent 50 to 1 by other candidates, might pull off another upset. Makes you wonder? Just what is it about this guy that brings the voters out against all odds.

good luck with that. i dont care for mccain either, but, huckabee hound has said he will mix church and state, and change the constitution further with the supreme court. any amnesty can be undone at any time. so i dont fear that one. the allowance of federal funds to have abortions is more of a pressing concern to me, and unfortuneately once killed you cant come back. im thinking on these two issues he finds he needs to back down to unify the republican party. he will loose voters over these issues but gain more by doing so. timing is critical. i dont think he is a fool. his experiance shows he too is very concerned about alienating liberal republicans too. do i think he is his own man? no. but the seperation of church and state is the most pressing issue with huckabee. no nation has servived long when mixxing them.

How will a baptist preacher help us quell the violence in Iraq?
