Man Claims He Was Fired For Saying Homosexuality Wrong
A Massachusetts man says he has been fired from his sales position at the Logan Airport branch in Boston of Brookstone allegedly for telling a female manager that his Christian faith says homosexuality is wrong. Peter Vadala was fired and the company says he violated a tolerance policy. But Vadala reports his dismissal came because he expressed his Christian view of homosexuality after a female manager made repeated references as she approached him four times during work hours to her plans to marry her lesbian partner. “At the start of the day, she told me she was getting married. I told her ‘Congratulations,’ and asked, ‘Where’s he taking you on your honeymoon?” Vadala said. “She replied that her partner was a ’she,’” he continued, “So I immediately tried to change the subject. “I think she knew I was uncomfortable talking about it,” he continued. “But, she brought it up to me three more times during the day. |

forcing somebody to believe something against their conviction is communist and isn't right at all.

Preaching at the work place in totally inappropriate! Good, the dummy should get fired.
I have had customers make the most ignorant, and stupid remarks, IMO, about politics at work. I hold my tongue because the work place is no place to talk politics or religion. Instead of keeping his head to the grindstone, this guy brought it upon himself to start preaching. Maybe his company decided they didn't want to pay him for preaching, when he should have been working!

so say someone that i am gay. that is saying to me throwing your opinion down my throat. so that same thing as preaching or saying that i don't believe in god.
What happen to freedom of speach? saying that your homo belief or athiest belief is more better than mine. what happen to christians rights as well? but athiest belief. I know whare that came from. that still a religion ect. bottom line. Can t prove to me that atheist and homosexuality is right. Look at nature and nature preaches to you itself.

I don't know what the hell you are ranting about, but obviously this guy was preaching instead of working.

For what? Being happy about the fact that she's getting married? Not to be rude, but we do have an automatic spell check here.

I don't think we have the whole story here.
If the man was just stating his opposition and walked away there is no problem. Did he harangue her with his views? He said she approached him 3 more times that day - shouldn't she also be working instead of wasting her time talking about wedding plans? Did she follow him around to purposely talk about her plans knowing that it made him uncomfortable? There is a lot here we don't know...
