I like the fact that I get to spend the day with my kids but I detest all the hustle and bustle of getting to that day. I hate shopping which makes it even worse.

Ditto.....too stressful.....I miss christmas in England when I was a kid....no worries, just fun, great shows on "telly", the food, the family get togethers....My family still gets together now, but everyone is exhausted after all the hustle and bustle..not to mention everyone has branched off into other families and we all can't get together at the same time....*sigh*.....gosh I'm exhausted already just thinking about it!!...

It's depressing. It's depressing to be half a continent away from the ones you want to be with. We have eight kids, her five, my three. Second marriages, divorces, custodial questions...............................

It think the thing I like least about it is that it's supposed to be a time of giving but it's viewed by too many as a time of getting.

I'd just as soon skip it. I don't need a day on the calendar to tell me when to do something for someone I love. Just last week I found a beautiful figurine in a store that I knew my daughter would love so I sent it to her with a card that said, "Just because you're my pride and joy. Love, Dad" I didn't wait until December 25th.

Well, lets see there is the gossip and hurt feelings about who spent how much on whom and why they didn't spend more on you.

Then, Uncle who like his wiskey to much throws a punch at uncle who beats his wife; while uncle who is a Preacher sneaks off with wiskey lovers wife!

And we do it all in the name of JESUS!!!!
